Cure sweaty feet

Sweating is a natural occurrence, but can sometimes leave people in sticky (or smelly) situations. It can leave youe with a huge stain under your arms, can leave you dehydrated, and, in the situation focused on in this article, can leave you with smelly and sometimes damaged feet.

People sweat for several reasons and in different places on their body. Here is a guide to sweating and how you can keep your feet in particular nice and dry:

Sweating is the body’s natural response to heat. To keep it simple, sweating is a way the body helps you cool down and maintain your ideal body temperature. When you’re hot, you sweat. The liquid is then evaporated off of our skin to help cool us off.

There are several reasons why people sweat. It isn’t always associated with a long walk on a hot day or an hour-long gym session. Sweating can also be a response to anxiety or nervousness. When you are nervous, your heart begins to beat faster and faster. Think about when you exercise. Your heart rate increases as you run or walk faster. Because your heart is pumping harder, your body gets hot. Because of this, your body is triggered to sweat to help cool you off and return your body to the right temperature.

Many people also sweat when they are sick. This is because your body naturally heats up to kill off any germs you may have. Think of your body has a pot of water. When the body is sick, the water heats up to kill the bacteria and germs.

The last reason, and the reason that relates to sweaty feet and other areas, is medication and hyperhidrosis. Many medications have side effects, some of which include sweating. This is normally unavoidable unless your doctor knows of a similar medication without that side effect. Hyperhidrosis can cause problems as well, as some people’s bodies struggle with sweating.

Hyperhidrosis is a condition which causes excessive sweating. According to studies, about 4 percent of the population of the world struggles with it. This condition is pretty serious as it can lead to dehydration because your body is pushing out so much water.

The hypothalamus, located in the brain, is responsible for sweat functions. The sweat glands are triggered by this part of the brain. Someone with this condition has sweat glands that produce a surplus of sweat.

This condition can unfortunately effect multiple parts of your body, including your feet. Have you ever found yourself having sweaty feet in the winter, or sweaty feet when there is no reason for you to sweat? You might suffer from hyperhidrosis. Regardless of the cause of your sweaty feet, there is a solution.

There are several ways to cure sweaty feet that are affordable and easy to maintain.

The first way is antiperspirant. You may already use something like this under your arms, but did you know that there are foot sprays and powders that can help with this? You can find a foot drying or foot antiperspirant spray at nearly any drug store or supermarket chain out there. They are easy to apply and reapply throughout the day if needed.

Another way to stop foot sweat is by soaking or coating your feet. There are several household items that can be used as a foot soak/scrub that will help you rid your feet of sweaty stink.

One scrub uses lemon juice and salt. Take one or two tablespoons of lemon juice and one tablespoon of salt and combine them in a small bowl. Apply the mixture to sweaty feel and massage gently for a few minutes. Leave the scrub on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it off with water and pat the skin dry. Repeat this scrub for best results.

Lastly, you can use black tea to prevent foot sweat. Fill a foot bath or tub with one liter of hot water. Place two black tea bags in the water and allow it to steep for a while. Soak your feel for 20 to 30 minutes, remove them from the water, and pat dry. Repeat this regularly for best results.
