Great foods for brain health

foodStaying fit and healthy is incredibly important in our everyday lives, be it whether you’re doing daily exercise such as running, jogging, cycling or perhaps even something gentler such as Yoga or Pilates, or be it whether you’re eating healthy, the better we look after ourselves the longer we can enjoy this great lives we are blessed with, today we’re going to concentrate on healthy eating and some great foods for brain health.

How can food be good for our brain?

You may be asking yourself how can foods be good for our brain? Well as it turns out they are incredibly important for the cognitive growth of our brains and brain functions.  Everyday Scientists are learning how much the different foods we eat impact on our brain functions. Our bodies don’t like stress at all and often will re-act in negative ways to stress and of course this is all controlled by our brains. The less stressed we are, the healthier we tend to be and we control this a lot from the different food types we eat…


What foods are good for our brains?

Avocados. This fruit is one of the healthiest ones you can consume and one of my all-time favorites… It’s also known as one of the fruits that actually has good ‘fats’ in other words these are not trans fats which are bad for our bodies.

Beetroots – The saying tends to go the darker the matter of the fruit or vegetable the healthier they tend to be and beetroos have some increadible anti-oxidant materials.

Blueberries. … One of natures wonders absolutely jam packed full of goodness and also great for the cardio vascular system.

Bone Broth. … A favourite of house wives who have sworn by this remedy for decades.

Broccoli. … Dark green and incredibly good for your skin and anti oxidant propertites.

Coconut Oil. … This has been all the rage in cooking as it’s such a healthy alternative for cooking over the traditional oils we tend to use.

Dark Chocolate. – Believe it or not dark chocolate in the morning is actually an incredibly healthy way to start the day.


So there you have it, just a a few foods that are good for your brain health. Remember that staying healthy consists of both eating well and doing regular exercise to ensure you have a good all round health regime.
